With that being said, here are some killer East Coast destinations that offer charm, relaxation, and just the right amount of adventure for an unforgettable bachelor or bachelorette weekend.

1. Asheville, North Carolina

Asheville is the ultimate spot for a nature-loving bride. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this city is all about stunning views, artsy vibes, and seriously good food.

Highlights:

  • Tour the Biltmore Estate and its beautiful gardens.
  • Drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway (particularly in the fall!)
  • Indulge in a spa day at one of the local wellness centers.
  • Hit up Asheville’s buzzing craft beer scene with a brewery tour.
Our suggestion: Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway at the North Carolina Arboretum and drie to Mount Pisgah & hike to the top! Come back down & have a beer at a local spot.

Food Recommendations:

  • Rosabees in the River Arts District
  • Rooftop Bar at Restoration Hardware (always know what to expect there!)
  • Zambas is delicious tapas
  • Crave is a tasty desert bar & open late!

Looking for the perfect spa stay? Check out The Grove Park Inn; the spa is world-class, and it's even pet-friendly! What better way to spend a bachelorette trip with the girls.

2. Newport, Rhode Island

For a touch of elegance and coastal charm, Newport is a must-visit. This seaside town is perfect for a sophisticated yet laid-back bachelorette weekend.

Highlights:

  • Wander through the opulent Gilded Age mansions like The Breakers.
  • Take a scenic stroll along the Cliff Walk.
  • Enjoy a sunset cruise in the harbor.
  • Feast on fresh seafood at waterfront restaurants.
Pro Tip: if you like wine, seafood, and happy hour, walk the main downtown area & you'll find everything you need!

Our Recommendations:

  • Visit the Newport Mansions (The Breakers, Rosecliff, Chateau-sur-Mer...)
  • Definitely do the ocean drive downtown; there are many restaurants and bars inside the wharf and outside.
  • Newport Vineyards is a fun stop for lunch or dinner.
  • Narragansett is beautiful for their beaches, great food, & a little more townie.
  • Check out the White Horse Tavern that was founded in 1673!
  • Go for a sail on one of Bannister's Wharf's Schooners (Schooner, Madeleine, Adirondack II, or Aquidneck). The crew is super knowledgeable about the history & the sights!
Another pro tip: Avoid the Red Lobster; it's a tourist trap.

3. Stowe, Vermont

Stowe is a picturesque escape, ideal for a cozy and memorable bachelorette weekend. Think mountain views, quaint shops, and plenty of outdoor activities.

Highlights:

Food & Drinks:

  • The Whip for dinner
  • The Skinny Pancake for a Sweet Treat
  • Michael's on The Hill (renovated 1820s farmhouse, farm to table place, the foodie in me is all about it)
  • Hen of the Wood is good (definitely need reservations)

4. Camden, Maine

Camden offers a serene coastal retreat with a mix of relaxation and adventure. Perfect for a low-key yet unforgettable bachelor or bachelorette getaway.

Highlights:

  • Sail on a classic schooner in Camden Harbor.
  • Hike up Mount Battie for stunning coastal views.
  • Explore Camden Hills State Park.
  • Savor fresh lobster at local seafood spots
Pro Tip: Explore the local towns and eat lobster along the coast 🦞

5. Hudson Valley, New York

A short drive from NYC, the Hudson Valley is a scenic gem, perfect for a bachelorette weekend filled with historic sites, wineries, and farm-to-table dining.

Highlights:

  • Tour historic estates like the Vanderbilt Mansion. Note: first come, first serve.
  • Enjoy wine tastings at charming local wineries - check out the list!
  • Hike in Minnewaska State Park or along the Shawangunk Ridge.
  • Shop and dine in the artsy town of Hudson.

6. Cape May, New Jersey

Cape May is a charming seaside town with Victorian vibes and pristine beaches, making it a great spot for a relaxing bachelorette party.

Highlights:

  • Stay in a cozy Victorian bed and breakfast like Congress Hall.
  • Chill on the beach or go dolphin watching.
  • Explore the Cape May Wine Trail.
